The King Apple Parade is one of the highlights of the N.C. Apple Festival and is held on Labor Day each year. At the parade there will be professional floats, bands, youth groups, antique cars, fire trucks and many others participating in this event that will draw over 60,000 individuals. Our goal is to produce a “spectacular finale” to the annual North Carolina Apple Festival. In keeping with the overall family oriented atmosphere that prevails throughout the four days of the festival. We aim to achieve this by bringing a “down home” type APPLE oriented parade by celebrating the contribution the APPLE and the APPLE INDUSTRY has made on our community. This year’s parade will be held on Monday, September 7 starting at 2:30 p.m. Come be a part of this annual tradition. We will be accepting applications until August 29, 2009. No applications will be accepted after this date. Please be sure to read the terms that accompany the application, these terms will tell you about line-up, rules, judging, etc. Applications may be picked up at the NC Apple Festival Office, downloaded from the web page below or you can e-mail for a copy at kingappleparade@yahoo.com.
